Nothing on earth can be held forever even our own life as if that needed to be said… and it does. There is one thing: Jesus and His work of redemption for us!
“When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart,
I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works.”
Ps. 37:17 says: “For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,…”
1 Cor. 1:21, 27-31 says: “it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.”…“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, ‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’”

*Would you like Jesus to be YOUR treasure? Have you called upon Jesus through prayer to be your Savior and Lord? You can do it! And you can do it now! Talk to Him in prayer if you have not already done so by praying a prayer like this.
“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner in and of myself. Please forgive me of going my own way. Thank you for coming and dying for me to forgive me of my sins. I believe you rose again the third day for me. I ask you to change and lead me in my life that I might be what you intend for me to be for you.”
