Why not ask the best question in life: What does the scripture say?

Paul, the writer of Romans and Galatians in the New Testament asked this question in both books he wrote (What does the scripture say? – Romans 4:3 & Galatians 4:30).  He was always quoting the Old Testament scriptures to prove that Jesus was the fulfillment of what scripture had already said would happen!  Are you interested in what it says about you?

Can peace and eternal security be found? The scripture says YES...and how it is found!

Are you missing inner peace and eternal security?  The scripture teaches that if you have a willingness to listen and ask for God’s help through Jesus, that peace – eternal peace can be experienced!  John 3:16 says:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”  If there is NOT a willingness to listen and ask for God’s help then the scripture is clear from front cover to the back that the future is will NOT be good but rather terrible.  On this point John 3:18 says this:  “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”  What follows are the clear steps to peace and eternal security that are articulated throughout scripture.

1 - Be willing to listen and trust what scripture says about you.

Scripture teaches clearly that God wants us to spend eternity with Him. But man has chosen his own plan because Adam and Eve, the first humans disobeyed Him. But there is still hope today for everyone! We have all disobeyed through our own choice and our own human nature. Romans 3:23 says that we have all sinned (disobeyed). The first point in scripture is to have the attitude that we would agree with God that we have sinned meaning we have gone our own way.

2 - Be willing to listen and trust what Jesus has done on your behalf.

The second point is that we should trust the provision God has made for our disobedience!  That is what Jesus has done for us where He died for our (mankind) sins, was buried, rose again from the grave and then ascended to heaven. Romans 5:8 says the following: “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 3:24-26 says this: “and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

3 - Be willing to listen to the Spirit of Jesus to change and lead your life.

Romans 10:9 says this: “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” And then in Romans 8:14 it says: “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”  Are you ready to call on Jesus to change you and give you His peace?  You can do that in prayer right now talking to Him straight from your heart.  He can hear you from where you are!  Romans 5:1 says this:  “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If this is you and you are ready, you can say a prayer to Jesus from your heart something like this:  "Lord Jesus I know I have sinned and gone my own way in life .  But right now I believe you did die for my sins.  I ask you to forgive me and I desire right now that you lead and change my life.  Thank you for what you have done for me!"
